Product Review: MAC & SLEEK

I have been a marykay addict for about 10years now, ever since i started using makeups. I have basically tried loads of other type of foundation, concealer, highlighters etc but marykay products seem to be the only one that suits me hence the reason why i have been using it for a long time! I seriously wondered why i havent become a consultant already, would have saved loads of money.

Anyway, am not a huge fan of changing something that works for me most especially because i do have a very sensitive skin which doesnt blend well with change but a friend recently told me about MAC products during one of our get together/ sleep over and i thought to myself that i could try some of their products and basically see if it works for me and if i would like it.

I got back home the next day, jumped on my laptop and found my way to MAC cosmetic site. After going through the products, first thing that crossed my mind was " why are they so EXPENSIVE" I clearly wasnt ready to spend loads of money on things i wasnt sure i would like.... I was about giving up on getting anything when i suddenly remembered the £400 westfield gift card i received from my hubby on my birthday in june ( he would rather give me gift cards or cash as i complain about everything he buys for me.... he is not a good shopper..lol) I havent used the gift card since june as i cant use it online and i get scared of going into westfield due to terrorist attacks (OMG... cant believe i said that..lol). I went looking for the card, found it, got dressed and headed for westfield in stratford.

I went into the MAC store, had a skin patch test and eventually got the MAC skin finish Powder - £24, MatchMaster foundation - £29 and the Studio Moisture Oil control Lotion - £24.50 which all totaled about £77.50.

I also went into Boots and got some sleek Highlighting Palette, Corrector and Concealer Palette, Makeup Brushes, I - Divine eye shadow Palette and a Contour and Blush Palette. These cost about £46 in total.

I extremely love the MAC Foundation and Powder! OMG am totally discarding marykay foundation and powder from now on. It matched my skin colour and stayed Matte all through the day. I honestly didnt think i would find a different foundation that would suit me because i have tried LOADS of other brands before sticking with marykay but now MAC is going to be my new best friend.

Below is the finished look: -

PROS:
1. The MAC foundation is extremly lovely, dries quickly and stays Matte all through the day. Matched my skin as well. Love it
2. The MAC Powder gives a smooth clean finish and looks really good as well. Would definately recommend
3. The studio fix moisturizing lotion helped in reducing the shine on my face as i do have an oily skin
4. I love the Sleek contour and blush Palette, used the contour palette above my eye lids as well and it stayed on quite good.
5. The sleek eyeshadow looks really lovely as well

CONS:
The only thing i didnt like from the purchase was the Sleek Highlighters, they were too glittery for my likening and i had to cover it up.

I really do enjoy using the MAC collection and would definately go back to spend the remaining of my gift card on their products.

Kindly share your thought on their product with me. Thanks for reading
